Dear people (namely Republicans/conservatives) who use the term “socialist” as an insult,

1) You don’t know what socialism actually is,

2) The National Park Service is technically socialist and National Parks are some of the best places in the country,

3) We take being called a ‘socialist’ as a complement!

Sincerely,

Socialists of America (and all others that do things for the common good)

Religion Mixed Much More Into Obama Campaign Than Jill Stein and Rocky Anderson Campaigns

The increasing number of non-religious Americans looked with dismay upon the Republicans’ and Democrats’ presidential campaigns of 2008. It’s become assumed that Republican presidential candidates will do whatever they can to use religion as a political tool to win an election. What was unexpected was Barack Obama’s massive exploitation of religion for his own electoral advantage

Stein = Dark Green, Obama = Greenish with Brown Spots, Romney = Dark Brown

Playing with Wonderful Expression: The Green Party tag is actually really scaring me right now.

solitudeisnotloneliness:

Look.

I understand that we, as people, identify with Jill Stein. I do myself.

But we cannot vote for her.

Cause doesn’t anybody remember Ralph Nader?

I don’t care about controversy, but I’m taking any chance that I get to keep Romney out of office.

If that means voting for someone with…

No offense, but this is absolute bull. We should DEFINITELY vote for Jill Stein and I have no idea where you are getting your ideas from! The fact that so many people want to vote for her is GREAT! Why should we settle for Obama, who does not believe in the same things as the Green Party does?  Obama is a moderate.  I am liberal.  Why would I vote for someone who does not even represent me? That would be like me voting for Mitt Romney… It is just nonsensical! And, also, I take a wholehearted offense to when you say that our vote does not count, because let me tell you something: YES, IT DOES COUNT! Jill Stein CAN heavily influence this election to where our country is headed in a more liberal direction. It has happened throughout history, where third parties have had mass influence on current politics. So don’t tell us to vote for Obama! We deserve better than him!

I call on all nonreligious to vote third party!

Whether you are simply nonreligious, or if you are an atheist, agnostic, freethinker, secularist, humanist, atheist plus, or any other identifier, I call on YOU to stand up in November and vote third parties, like the Green Party, who openly and strongly believe in the complete separation of church and state, and who believe not in making laws based on ‘god’s will,’ but on reason, logic, and scientific knowledge! This is my call to YOU to stand up for what is right and NOT for what is easy! I want YOU to vote third party!

Progressives Should Vote Green Party, Here's Why

A vote for “the lesser of two evils” means you always elect “evil”. Having the courage to vote your convictions & beliefs is being truthful. Voting based on fear has brought us everything we were afraid of. Note the positions of the Democratic & the Republican candidates on the Political Compass, they’re right next to each other, which is why Progressives (who almost all fall into the bottom left quadrant) should be voting for Green Party candidate, Jill Stein. The only “wasted” vote is the one not cast… which is the majority of the electorate which stays home. If Democrats are afraid of losing to Romney, they should get more voters to the polls rather than blame people who actually vote for a Progressive. The voters aren’t the problem for you, it’s the non-voters that matter most.

The Heart of True Environmentalism

Caring about the environment is not something that you just do, it is an integral part of a person’s morality and ethics and how they live their lives. It is FAR bigger than some political party or some goals that get accomplished. Environmentalism has to BECOME part of society’s morality to change anything. Science has to be our weapon and our tool, education has to be the means, and morality has to be our guide!
